Fuels Are Less Harmful to the Environment

In addition to petrol, LPG, and diesel, there are alternative fuels that are less harmful to the environment. Fuel, Pump, Energy, Gas Pump, Gas Station, Diesel FuelElectricity, hydrogen, natural gas, and green gas are those ‘clean’ fuels. They are simply – to a greater or lesser extent.

Electric

Electricity is in the spotlight. That is why we have brought together all knowledge in the field of electric driving and electric cars.

Hydrogen

To get straight to the point: the biggest advantage of driving on hydrogen is that it is very environmentally friendly. The emission of a hydrogen engine is water! A hydrogen is therefore an interesting option for the future, but it will of course still have to prove its value. It is important that hydrogen is generated sustainably in the future. This is not yet the case or it is available as a residual product.

Hydrogen cars have a so-called fuel cell on board. That is simply a device in which a chemical reaction takes place between hydrogen and oxygen. Electricity is released which is used to drive an electric motor. The hydrogen is stored in hydrogen tanks in the car.

There are currently only a few cars available on the market that run on hydrogen just like san jose towing trucks and are using diesel for environmentally friendly. But a number of European car manufacturers are also developing a model on hydrogen.

Advantages Run on Hydrogen

  • No CO2 emissions (provided the hydrogen is generated sustainably) but clean water
  • Performance comparable to that of a petrol engine
  • Filling up faster than charging an electric car
  • Tank lighter and smaller than a battery pack
    Disadvantages run on hydrogen
  • There is still limited infrastructure for fueling hydrogen
  • Hydrogen production costs a lot of energy

The biggest advantage of CNG is that its emissions are cleaner than those of petrol. But because it is only available on a limited number of points, it is not the best choice for many riders. You often have to detour to refuel and/or plan your route carefully. It is possible to have a filling installation installed at home or at the office.

LPG

LPG (liquid petroleum gas) is one of the best known alternative fuels. It is made from petroleum and is, therefore, a fossil fuel. A car with a modern LPG gas installation emits less CO2, but more NOx (nitrogen oxides) than the same car that runs on petrol. LPG is nice and cheap. But you do consume more of it per kilometer. Moreover, the motor vehicle tax is higher and of course, you also have to buy the gas installation yourself. Our tip: buy a used car with a gas system, then you can drive very cheaply even with low annual mileage.
